My home is not a place, it is people.

My brother Brett has come to live in Michigan. He is staying with me now and is in the process of looking for a job in the automotive industry (although he says he'll take anything). Once he's settled in he'll get his own place, but so far he's actually been quite helpful around the house so there is no tension and no wondering when he'll move out. I'm sure he'd rather have his own place anyway, so I'm not concerned on this score.

The podcast (www.poweruser.tv) seems to be doing well, and as of the time I'm writing this we are #68 on podcasts.yahoo.com (#28 in the "highly rated" section). Still not in the top 100 overall in iTunes, but that really doesn't surprise me. If you haven't listened before and would like to do so, the new episode (#26) is a good one to start with. We've learned an awful lot in the process of doing this, and hopefully we've improved over time.

My sister's baby is doing well and although she apparently had a jag of a couple of weeks where she cried a LOT, she has settled down and become a happy little bundle of joy. I actually got to visit just after Christmas. My sister and brother-in-law have taken to parenthood like fish to water so all is going well over there.

Stardock is wrapping up our game "Galactic Civilizations II". It was hard for a while. Paul, who already worked very long hours, was putting in even more time. Basically he worked from sun-up to bedtime with hardly a moment in between. It's draining in many ways, but hopefully that time is almost over and we can get back to some semblance of a normal life. It's a good thing we don't have children.

He finally ordered a new computer and new monitor. The monitor is a 24 inch cinema display from Dell. I also broke down and ordered a new monitor when I thought my 10-year-old CRT had finally taken a dirt nap. Turns out that the CRT is fine but I still have a new one so I'm not complaining.

And that is all. There is nothing else new in my life, hence the reason I don't blog much. Just don't have much worth talking about! No news is good news I suppose.

You have a very interesting life Cordelia! Having a sibling stay a short while is a good thing I believe. We get a chance to visit
and re-connect.

good going on the new monitor!

So true. I had forgotten how much I like him. Could have been much worse, no?
