My home is not a place, it is people.
Aaaargh!

Ok, I've been in Michigan for a little over a week now, and I must say my allergies are worse than they have ever been. My hands tremble constantly with the desire to scratch my eyes out. My eyes are red, swollen, and leaking fluid that I can only hope is tears. I am in constant pain - yes, actual pain in my eyes. Not to mention my constantly running nose and my ears that itch on the inside where I can't reach.

I am given to understand that this is a particularly bad time of year in this area for all allergy sufferers, so I am going to simply wear mittens to prevent accidental eye gouging and wait it out.

That part of the country is the WORST for allergies. MI, OH, IN, that whole area. I feel you you. That's one reason I try to avoid that part of the country at this time of year.

Think the area that you are in is bad, try living out in the country by me!  They have been cutting hay.  I can breath by the time I leave work, but all I can do at home is sit on the couch and wheeze.  This year is the first year that I have had these many problems.  I have a feeling it has to do with how hot and humid it has been.  It'll be OK soon, though....until fall.

If I were smart, I would get another prescription for Nasonex.  That stuff seems to work really well for the type of allergies around here.

Does anyone else have a weird allergic reaction to seawater? Sometimes when my skins exopsed to an odd combination of seawater and hot sunshine, I come out in huge wealts all over my legs? Sorry, to hear about you being all bunged up, it's not much fun I know - on sunny days like today I'm glad I moved back to the city where the pollen can't get me!

Sea water? That's a new one on me. It's usally good for aiding skin irritations.

I tried Nasonex a few years ago, seemed to work ok, but always gave me a splitting headache. As I am not a person who gets headaches, I would rather have the allergies.

Dune, sounds like sun rash to me.  It's probably aggravating your skin and causing you to get a heat rash from the sun.  I am very photo sensitive and I find that swimming irritates my skin enough to worsen the rash.  I would be killed instantly by the sun if left in the desert.  I would make a good vampire, maybe.....
