My home is not a place, it is people.

My brother has decided to move back to Colorado. He left this morning at about 7 am. He lived with me for about 6 months. I'm very sad! I really, really enjoyed the chance to get to know him. He's a smart, funny dude, and as he says, "dead sexy" to boot.

Good luck little brother. I'm sure you'll be fine! But I'm still sad.

I take it that there is a large age difference between you 2?

Only 7 years, but he is the youngest of the bunch.

A few years ago, my sister and her son moved in with me (when she split with her husband).  We are 12 years apart, so it really was a good chance to get to know each other.  When I left for college, she was not yet 6.

Aww, it's hard when your siblings go away. That happened to me several years ago, my brother lived with us for two years when he first came to the US and when he moved out hard at first getting adjusted to him not being around everyday. It's great you got to know each other better!

A time of sadness,  yet he's doing probably what's needed for himself.  He''ll miss you too!  I miss both of my sisters, one older by 7 years, one younger by 4 years.

Do you have other siblings?  I know the sad feelings when one leaves after just getting re-aquainted.  It's so different when you're older and can laugh at stuff you did as kids!

Hugs Cordelia!

Oh this makes me sad too! I dont like thinking of you being sad Cheer up, though...you are lucky you got to spend so much time together while we was in Michigan, and I am sure he is very apprecitative for all you guys did for him while he was here. That's got to be tough though. I am pretty much best friends with my sister, and when she just moved 40 minutes away I had a hard time dealing with it. I like the thought of her being close just in case I want or need to see her. Makes you appreciate the times you do get to spend together.
