My home is not a place, it is people.

We have been seeing several articles lately that indicate a number of you are having a problem connecting to JU. Personally, I would wither away and die without JU, so we understand your pain and want to get these issues cleared up if possible.

If you or someone you know is having a problem connecting, please respond here and tell us EXACTLY what the error message is (include a screenshot if you want to) and when you started having the trouble, and any other information you think is pertinent.

We apologize for any trouble you are experiencing with the site. With your help we can get it running correctly again. Thanks!

"Connection refused" or error messages come up on recent postings. I hope that helps

I actually do get an error coming to JU as well.

IE gives a fairly generic looking DNS error page.

The IP for JU is correct. Yet if I change my DNS server from using the one Comcast provides to Stardock's (66.54.81.40) it works fine. Only JU seems impacted.

I have a strange one
I can log on to JU write, edit etc fine but whenever I jump over to the forums I get logged out somehow

I've had several error messages tonight.

1: while reading pages
"the page cannot be displayed, the script for the amount of time has been exceeded."

2: in the "Blog Navigator bar (score, articles posted, my blog, etc.)

The remote procedure...

I tend to get more errors when going through the "forum" view than when I go through the person's actual blog. I've gotten to where I will just look at who wrote something and open up another browser window and go to their actual blog to read -- this cuts down on the "timeout" errors and "An error occured while processing this page" screens as well as plain old 404's.

I do think, though, that part of the problem is my own rather slow connection, so take that into consideration when reading this response.

Things generally go through after a couple of tries, though, so I suppose there's no real harm done.

Cheers.

Also hope after stats are updated on Monday the following 2 error messages will disappear which are not JU, but WC ISSUES but may be
causing oder caused by JU problems as well. Inserted pic shows message I get on WC site on any of my 7 browsers, logged in or after
having reentered and relogged in + out etc. even after drinking beer like some admins and a super wizop recommended on a wc forum I
also posted my problems on, every time I try to enter personal page information, hoping I can enter my link management, giving me this
message instead.

The second error message you will see for yourself when clicking on this still existing wc forum link to where an article of mine USED to
be posted. Neither Stardock nor I seemed able to kill several links like these for more than 1 week, which also may be caused by
involved of my WC site with my JU site or have vice versa effects resulting in other peoples JU problems. Thomassen already posted
a blog about this link in WC forum site issues a while ago. Now I find myself manually contacting these people who are still trying to
read my articles which still exist and also have new working updated forum links to where these articles ARE NOW.

Link

The article creating this now dead link with its message was created and edited on my JU site, I think.

I am still grateful to Stardocks domains like WC and JU for letting me make many exciting, thrilling and important experiences newbies
have to make when setting up their first sites and have quite a crush on the WC and JU communities by now, which I will still need when I
hopefully soon have a bug freeer independent site of my own (dont get me wrong, I hope I caused most of these "issues" myself) and
have learned that I will not directly link to other sites of mine too much, so as not to make them all mess up for good if one messes up
for good, plus, while working on Stardock sites, avoid editing and deleting or rechanneling any blog already publicly released at all.

Manopeace:
Also working on your Blacklist issue - give us until the end of the day (EST).

Thanks again for responding everyone, both with issues and with suggestions. We will take a look at everything that has been said. I can't make any promises (since I'm not actually the one doing the fixing) but obviously we want the site to run well and we appreciate your being willing to work with us in order to make it better.

Thanks Cordelia...much appreciated.

Tried everything Baker...All I get is an error page on the Blacklist site. Others tried for me as well from their own puters and different ISP's... same result.

Have to agree with him Baker.  I even tried to help him, and while I can get into my blacklist, we could not get into his on my computer either.

Manopeace - try your blacklist and let me know if it's fixed. If not, e-mail me here: Email

little_whip (and everyone): feel free to post suggestions/comments/rants here. We don't currently have a suggestion "box", but it would be a good idea.
